Bethesda Transformation Center Inc., based in Harford County, Maryland, is a faith-based non-profit 501(c)(3) bringing whole truth and healing in the name of Jesus to women suffering from addiction.
The Story Behind Our Name
Many people have asked about the name "Bethesda" and its meaning. To clarify, we are not located in Bethesda, MD. This name was revealed to us through heartfelt prayer.

The name Bethesda comes from John 5:1-15, where Jesus performs a miracle at the pool of Bethesda. In this passage, Jesus tells a man who had been ill for 38 years to pick up his mat and walk—and he is healed! This story reminds us that there is always hope in Jesus.
​
The name "Bethesda" itself means "House of Grace" or "House of Mercy," both of which are deeply meaningful to our center. We strive to help individuals and families transform their lives with Jesus as our foundation.
Statement of Faith
Our Core Beliefs:
At Bethesda Transformation Center, we are rooted in the unchanging truth of God’s Word and His love for all people. We believe the Bible is divinely inspired and serves as a trustworthy guide for life, faith, and transformation. Through Scripture, we discover God's heart and His purpose for our lives.

We believe in one God, revealed as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. Jesus Christ, fully God and fully man, was born of a virgin, lived a sinless life, and through His death and resurrection, made a way for us to experience forgiveness, healing, and eternal life. The Holy Spirit is actively present in the lives of believers, guiding, strengthening, and empowering us to walk in faith and love.

We acknowledge that sin has impacted humanity, creating separation from God. Yet, through Jesus, we find grace, redemption, and new life. When we trust in Him, we are restored to a relationship with God and called to live lives of love, purpose, and service.

Our faith is founded on the hope of bringing the fulfillment of God’s kingdom—a kingdom marked by righteousness, peace, and joy. Until then, we commit to living out His love in our daily lives, sharing His message of grace and truth with all people.
